ABOUT US
We are architects based in Reading, Berkshire but also working in the London Boroughs. Good quality architecture that puts people first is at the heart of WHITFIELD:DESIGN. Through careful design and a sensitivity to our client's budget we aim to improve the everyday lives of our clients. Furthermore, catering for a wide breadth of people is fundamental to our ethos, believing that good architecture should not be just for the privileged few. Some of the key issues in our society that we feel need urgently addressing include improving the sustainability of our buildings to reduce our carbon footprint, planning ahead for our growing ageing population, and, tackling our current housing crisis. We try to use our skills to address these themes within the community and through our projects. Our previous projects range from small scale domestic extensions to larger commercial schemes. Regardless of the project size we provide a highly tailored service for each client and formulate a design based on their individual brief and requirements. Using a combination of hand drawn sketches and 3D modelling software we are able to fully engage with the design process to visualise and explore clearly the spaces and volumes that will be created. Over the years this has proved extremely beneficial throughout the design process especially for our clients to understand the project and to help secure planning permission successfully and efficiently. |
